This was my first Earth Freq Festival. Though i have been invited many times before, usually after Rainbow Serpent Festival in Victoria, i am just too tired to travel to Queensland. But this year i didnt attend Rainbow (9 years in a row is enough, and it was getting just too big for my liking) – so Earth Freq was on top of the list, and also my first festival for 2011.As i dont usually not that great with words (writing) i will however say that Earth Freq gave me back joy and faith that the ‘doofs’ as i remembered has not died. Feb 11-14,  South East Queensland.

Happy to announce that Webgrrl/Ozdoof will attending the 2011 Earth Freq for the first time (finally!) Its been long overdue – flights has been booked/paid – it will be the first time in 10 years since i have been back to Queensland. So its going to be special for many reasons..

Earth Freq is a music, arts, lifestyle and environment festival, based in South-East Queensland, Australia. The concept of Earth Freq is not just a festival or party, but a gathering of different tribes and a weekend of connection, intention and inspiration. Sailing south-east in the Cook Islands, north-east of New Zealand, we were charting the frontiers of dance, scanning the horizon for the perfect rave.

We were fifty-odd adventurers, from Melbourne by the most part, habitués of that city’s psytrance and related scenes. Expatriates, world travelers, mavens of mischief and experience seekers hunting one of the greatest prizes of all: totality, that cosmic vibe that is activated by a total solar eclipse.

Over 12,000 electronica music, arts and lifestyle party people made their way to this years Rainbow Serpent Festival held on a new site, but still in Beaufort, Victoria. The weather was nice and hot during the day (but not overly so) but the nights were colder than usual.
